Context
Established in March 1937, the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University in Iași, Romania, hosts over 14,000 students and 662 faculty members across various faculties. With a focus on international education, the university renewed the image of “STUDY AT TUIAȘI” project to attract foreign students. Seeking to cater to international students’ needs, university leaders enlisted our expertise to redesign the study.tuiasi.ro website.
Challenges
The project faced numerous challenges, from building a website for 12 study programs within tight deadlines to addressing the lack of relevant visual assets. However, the most significant obstacle was the absence of an established identity system, which required us to take a comprehensive approach and create a visual identity from scratch.
Strategy
The brand strategy sought to craft a visually captivating website design that harmonises simplicity with rich content. Rooted in openness and communication, the brand ethos mirrors the university’s legacy and academic excellence. The identity system seamlessly blends contemporary aesthetics with simplicity, employing vibrant colours to appeal to the target audience of international students, all while remaining faithful to the university’s mission.
Concept & Implementation
The vantage point from an elevated perspective provides an overview—an external viewpoint revealing multiple facets of the observed object. This perspective relies on knowledge, objectivity, and thorough exploration, which sharpen vision and streamline problem-solving. While it may seem philosophical, this approach is a practical foundation for mastering any subject. Focusing on the tangible, success lies in a thorough examination and a clear technical approach.
